use any of the resources below. It is all optional for the time being as we are still on Break and new information is still unfolding.
The best place to look for resources would be the OCSB Student Portal, which students are
familiar with, but I've included many others below as well.
Each of us have different circumstances and our priority is obviously with You and Your child's well-being, first and foremost. We realize some of you may be able to access these resources, while others may not, or may be limited, which is why I am saying that this is optional. This is a unique situation we're in and so, many are working on finding solutions to make sure that there is some form of learning available to everyone. I will keep you posted via email or the Remind text messaging system as we receive new updates. Thank you for your patience!
LOGGING INTO JK-6 Portal Student Portal seems to be changed so you no longer have to enter a username and password (I assume to make things easier for parents and students), just click the "JK -6 STUDENT PORTAL" tab at the top of the OCSB.ca landing page.
You will need to enter your child's username and password information if accessing student email accounts, Google Docs, etc. Many of the other programs other than the Google accounts have their own unique logins and passwords. Some can be found in agendas, but if the one you wish to access is not there, please email me and I'd be more than happy to provide you with this information Thx!

****Be aware that some usernames and passwords, such as the Fully Alive Workbook are case sensitive.
For LANGUAGE, in class students use and are familiar with:
1-Raz Kids (teacher username: rmcsheffrey0), student password should be in the front of your child’s agenda if they do not remember. If the agenda is misplaced, just send me an email and I can forward you the login info.
OR, if you have access to books during this time, even better.
2-Bookflix (username: ottawcarl, password: otta1135)
3-Starfall
4-Bookcreator: New program, but students really enjoyed it when we had a workshop using this program. They can create books, comics, etc. Lots of fun and authentic learning can be done using this program, such as creating a book about their day, making a book about a subject they know their friend is interested in that they can show them once we're hopefully back.
5-SORA: Book Reading Program available on the Student Portal. Most are higher level reading books, but thought I'd add this anyway. Username and password should not be needed. Once your child is logged into the Student Portal it should work.
6-Access to EMAIL, GOOGLE DRIVE, etc, please email me and I will send you login information.
A great activity could be having your child send emails to family members or a friend, telling them how they're doing and just to say hi, ask them some questions, etc. Who doesn't love receiving a nice email, right?!

We don't use this program in class so students will need some help navigating it in the beginning. It does have some helpful Math games though and most students find it enjoyable:)
